After a rewarding career in education, Jeanette retired three and a half years ago. She spent many years teaching secondary school mathematics before dedicating the final seven years of her career to teaching in an inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric unit, where she had the privilege of supporting students and their families through some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

Jeanette’s condominium journey began approximately 11 years ago when she purchased her mother’s condominium from her estate. Wanting to become an informed and effective volunteer, she completed the required condominium director education before being elected to the Board of Directors. Since then, she has proudly served two full terms and is now beginning her third term as a condominium director.

In addition to her condominium board service, Jeanette also serves on the Board of Directors for Community Living North Halton. This role is especially meaningful to her, as she has a daughter who is developmentally disabled and autistic. Her commitment to this organization reflects her passion for supporting individuals and families within the community.

As a condominium board member, Jeanette enjoys helping to foster a strong sense of community among residents. One of the ways she contributes is by writing a monthly newsletter that keeps residents informed, engaged, and connected. She values the importance of clear communication, education, and collaboration in creating successful and connected communities.
