In one of the most difficult and tragic chapters in Ontario’s condominium history, the 2022 Vaughan shooting brought national attention to the intense pressures that can arise when a dispute between an owner and a condominium corporation escalates over time. The incident took place at Bellaria Residences in Vaughan on December 18, 2022, where five residents were killed and one was seriously injured; several of the victims were members of the condominium’s board of directors.
