Please join the CCI Golden Horseshoe Professional and Business Partners committee for this session to discuss important current trends in the condominium industry. This session will dive in the skyrocketing price of major construction and everyday services, and provide strategies for navigating this challenge affecting all condominium communities. We will also explore the evolving requirements for manager and board education, and how this is impacting the industry. Lastly we will provide details specific to window rebate programs that may be available to townhouse condo corporations considering window replacements. Kevin Shaw is a Principal and Manager of Building Science with Cion - Engineers and Building Scientists. Kevin sits on the Board of Directors for CCI (Golden Horseshoe Chapter) and is an active member of the Business Partners Committee.

Ryan Griffiths - CWB Maxium Financial

Ryan Griffiths is the Director, Condominium Finance, at CWB Maxium Financial, a division of Canadian Western Bank. Ryan works closely with condo boards and their communities to develop and implement the right financial solution for their needs and specializes in arranging innovative financing for major condominium repair and maintenance projects. As a financial expert with over 20 years of experience, he enhances the knowledge of his clients by providing the information and tools they need to make informed financial decisions.
 
Ryan is an active member of the condominium community and currently serves as a board member for the Canadian Condominium Institute (“CCI”) Huronia Chapter, and on various committees for the Toronto, Golden Horseshoe and Grand River Chapters of CCI. Ryan routinely develops materials on financials considerations for condominium corporations, and conducts speaking engagements on condominium finance topics at conferences and industry events across Canada.

 

Craig McMillan, RCM, ACCI, CMCA, CAPM - Maple Ridge Community Management

Craig McMillan is President of Maple Ridge Community Management (MRCM) an Associa Company. He has been a Condominium Professional since 2003. Craig holds his RCM designation from ACMO, and his ACCI and LCCI designation from CCI-National. He is a member of the Project Management Institute and holds his Certified Associate in Project Management designation CAPM. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for ACMO and ACMO’s Membership & Programs Committee as well as the Condo Conference Committee He also serves on the Professional & Business Partners Committee and the Communications Committee with CCI - GHC, as well as CMRAO’s Advisory Committee. He is a frequent speaker at industry events & conferences, as well as contributing articles for various industry publications.
