Special Members' Meeting
May 31, 2017CCI-N announced the formation of the new CCI-Grand River Chapter earlier this year!
This is an exciting step forward for CCI members in this region, and is the result of monumental work by many dedicated volunteers in both chapter areas. As a result of their efforts, the new GRC is ready to launch beginning on July 1, 2017 for the upcoming membership year.
The Golden Horseshoe Chapter Board of Directors approved the transfer of $83,000.00 to the new Grand River Chapter. This one-time transfer is to help the Grand River Chapter get up and running as an independent chapter. The amount of the transfer represents the profits realized by the Golden Horseshoe Chapter from the 2016 Annual Conference and Tradeshow held in Kitchener. To be fiducially responsible to members, the Golden Horseshoe Chapter Board of Directors is calling this Special Meeting of Members to formally approve this transfer.
The second business item is the appointment of an Auditor. To be in compliance with the Ontario Corporations Act, Golden Horseshoe Chapter must have an audit at year-end. At last year’s Annual General Meeting a review was approved not an audit.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Holiday Inn Holiday Inn – Hespeler Galt, 200 Holiday Inn Dr, Cambridge, ON N3C 1Z4 - Courtyard Room. The meeting will start at 1 pm and end at 1:30 pm. If you cannot attend, please email or fax your proxy no later than May 29, 2017. Instructions are on the attached proxy form.
