September 22, 2018Level 300 Course
Saturday, September 22, 2018
LOCATION:
Royal Botanical Gardens |
TIME:
8:30 am - Registration |
Course Outline:
This course for Owners, Board Members, and Property Managers is designed to provide an understanding of the financing process. We will discuss when and why financing might be necessary, and how to avoid these situations if possible. If your condominium does need financing, this course will take you through a comparison of financing vs special assessment, and will explain the different people involved in the financing process. We will also go through the legal aspects of financing, and what information a condominium will need to provide to a lending institution. Finally, we will look at the long-term implications of a financing arrangement.
At the end of this course, you will have learned when financing might be needed and be preferable over a special assessment, who is involved in the process, what the process involves, and how a financing arrangement impacts condominium corporations long-term. This course will educate Owners, Board Members, and Property Managers on how to make the best decision for your condominium(s) in the event a need for financing arises.
